No child should ever go hungry, yet many children who depend on school meals have no access to nutritious foods on weekends. We’re committed to changing that and we’d love your help.
Our Mission
We believe that no child should ever go hungry. The Full Tummy Project provides weekend bags of food for children who have been identified by school administrators as at risk for hunger. We’re currently serving Athens City Schools and a portion of Limestone County Schools in Athens, Alabama.
Making an impact
Our bags ensure children are well-fed over the weekend, which has been shown to provide them with better health and self-esteem and a decrease in stress and worry.
Getting Involved
We are always on the lookout for volunteers. Want to get involved? We’re looking for folks to help pack weekend bags, deliver bags, and host food drives.
It’s a great way for you, your church, or your organization to serve.
Making a donation
We are currently serving over 500 students in Limestone County, which equates to $2,500 weekly, $10,000 monthly, and $120,000 per year.
